My baby's former dr told me to put rice cereal in her bottle to help her gain weight. After reading up on it I don't think she needs it. I'd rather just feed her just the formula, but her dr is closed today. Not sure what to do. She's been on the rice for a month but last night I ran out and she did fine on just the formula slept through the night and didn't seem any fuller or hungrier

rice cereal honestly does nothing for baby and it's a choking hazard in a bottle. we used it for a while and would spoon feed it to her before a bottle to help with reflux but it stopped working after a while.

if you don't think she needs it, I wouldn't give it to her.

@scurlock.mommy, sometimes I convince myself that I need the Drs permission. I guess I don't though do I?

My doctor told me never put rice in the bottle they could aspirate but I know older generations will recommend it. You just gotta do what you feel is best!!
