I'm not in Fort Polk! But early welcome to Louisiana! 💜

There's not too many places to shop in fort Polk but there is a Walmart near by as well as a few other small stores. But in a short drive you could go to Alexandria which is where mall and all the shopping centers and restaurants are.

I have to drive and hour just to get to the mall there (I live in a small town), but I think you are closer than that from fort Polk.

Be prepared for the crazy weather that we have here! One day you will need a coat and the next day you are in shorts lol

Anyways, I wish you the best here in Louisiana! I'm sure it will be a BIG change for you, compared to New York.
