I just started potting training my daughter yesterday and she actually went 7 times on the potty by herself and I was even getting her to tell me when she had to go. I just took her diaper off her completely and let her run around bare naked. And she basically didn't have a place to put her pee so she had to go somewhere, and she went on the potty. I just kept telling her to make sure she told me when she had to go because she didn't have a diaper on, and I kept asking her if you have to go potty where do you go? And she pointed at the bathroom potty. She has one and a half accidents. Other than that she pottied on the potty!
