Just found out my biological mom is dying. I haven't spoken to her in four years because she was on drugs but quit. The day I decided to finally text her I find out she's not doing good and may not have long. All she wants to know is how motherhood has been, the name of my daughter and how I've been. I don't know wheather to cry or to be happy to talk to her and that she's not on drugs. She's been on drugs since I was a baby and 20 years later she quits and is dying. I waited my entire life for her to quit and when she does she's dying. Yeah think I'll go to bed and deal with all the emotions tomorrow because I can't handle them right now. She literally told me "I'm not doing so good but at least now if I go I finally heard from you." Then she went on to ask about my daughter. Like what do I even say. I can't deal with this.

Girl , I think you should give her another chance, you could probably regret it , I know you expected a mom through out the years but show her that you're the bigger person!!! I'm sorry you went through this !!!

This is so sad. I would hope you can try to have a relationship with her now even if it is short lived.

Make use of the time you may have left with her.. it's never too late.. you can sense that she cares so Just Be there for her while you can whether it's from calls or sending pics etc. a simple gesture to uplift her spirit at this time goes a long ways
