Midwife appointment was yesterday and they told me since my 33week ultrasound my daughter was measuring big, and when they felt her with their hands she felt big they want me to have a growth scan tomorrow. if she's measuring over 8lbs they want to talk about a c section since my first got stuck and had issues with her shoulders.. I am really scared about having to get a cesarean since my first was an unmedicated natural birth. Any mommies who have had c sections have any tips or advice for after a c section? is recovery really that bad? this will hopefully help me make my decision.

I've had two c-sections , I tried for 30 hrs to have my son naturally but he was almost 10 lbs and my body literally gave up on me. My first c-section I was so tired I don't really remember much but the only thing that hurt afterwards is when the nurses made me get up and walk to the bathroom the day after.
My 2nd c-section I was so alert and ready to meet baby since this was a planned c-section I knew what to expect. But my pain afterwards when I got home was dreadful. All I can really say is just relax and take it easy afterwards. Always keep your incision clean and don't lift anything other then baby ❤

I'm at 13 days after my c section and I'm up and about. My first was a natural and I was terrified going in for my c section for a breech baby who 36 weeks weighed 7lbs and 9oz. the nurses we're fantastic they could tell I was nervous but they talked the entire time and let me know exactly what was going on. My anesthesiologist was the most helpful, asking me about my life and keeping me distracted enough to help the nerves. There will be pain. It will hurt like hell to laugh, walk around and have a bowel movement. When they ask on a scale of one to ten how the pain is just be honest and take the pain killers if you need them.

thank you @m.lwrnc87 I am extremely nervous about having one, I'm hoping I dont. did you get the epidural before your c-section?

@kmharr3 I got a spinal tap and it wasn't that bad. they numbed the area and then you feel a warm sensation going down your legs. kind of like you peed but you didn't. lol it was a very weird feeling.

@kmharr3, normally with a c-section you're at the historical for 3 days. It took a good 2 months for me to feel back to myself. Every day it gets better though 😊
