How soon after you give birth can you/ did you start going on walks outside with your baby? I…

my baby is almost 7 weeks and only been out of the house 3 times for dr. visits. but it is winter and I live in South Dakota, and it's cold here.. I don't think she needs to be out of the house. I think it's up to the parents when they take their babies out for walks and such.

@dawnrose okay, thank you! I don't want to take him out too soon either :( But also I live in California so it's pretty hot lol

Oh yeah! if I lived in a warm place we probably already been on a walk lol.

we started leaving the house for church & stuff since around 2 weeks. we don't really go on walks though..lol were out & about all the time now & have been since around 1 month.

I went out to eat the day we left the hospital (I was in 5 days she was 3 days old)

I went out day of getting realeased from the hospital with all 3 of my boys. My 1st we had our only niece 3rd birthday, with my second I was in the hospital 5 days and going stir crazy so a shopping trip was in order for last minute mommy supplies, and with my 3rd we attended my husband's father funeral.

I think you should do whatever you are comfortable with.
