@marina_cornale, our doctor had told us the same thing, to gradually take it away. Well that wasn't working for us. So I did it my own way lol! Eventually my son realized "Hey I want that milk really bad and I guess I'm not going to get it any other way." He gave in. Don't get me wrong, it was frustrating at first. But I'm sure not any more frustrating than anything else is, that you try to train your child to do. Good luck mama!

I give my son a sippy cup thing in the morning. He gets fussy and throws it. I end up giving him his bottle because I know he needs his milk =\. Should I not do that? The ped told me to gradually get rid of the bottle such as take it away in the morning and give him a sippy cup , then the afternoon etc.. I get really upset when he throws it on the floor lol.

We seriously just went cold turkey. We didn't give my son the choice. Yeh he would get angry and throw the sippy cup with his milk, but he got over it in a couple days. He had been drinking a little water out of a sippy for months so was used to a lot of different styles of cups. He is 2 months out of the bottle and will drink his milk out of just about any cup now.

Hi @beebaby I have tried sippy cups. He has one he drinks water out of. It's the munchkin brand. I even tried to give him sippy cups with straws =\.
