In Philippines we had something like that but for when you turn 18. I swear it's like throwing a wedding! I refused to have one, especially since I didn't have a boyfriend and my mom expected me to slow dance with my cousin 😒

My daughter is 12 but she's not the type to want to have that. She said if I'm saving for that she's gonna need the money for college not for that. Both my daughters say the same thing. Thanks God

I had a sweet 16 and it was small . it wasn't that fancy but everyone did dress nice tho
