my 5 month old has been coughing without having a runny nose or fever. the doc said it could be whooping cough. the test takes two days. any one have experience with this?? ty!

she gets them in a week. test came back and it wasn't whooping cough. so we gave her antibiotics for nothing. and her cough didn't get better. today she got a chest xray. but we haven't heard back. idk, my hubby is mad, he says now they are just playing the guessing game on whatever she has.
