I hate that my family rides my ass about my son still having a bottle and still not sleeping through…

my son still has to have a cup of water at night but he took milk until 15 months.

Your son should be on a bottle til at least a year... if you were breast feeding would they be complaining about him still nursing?!? My daughter had allergic reactions switching to milk... we ended up keeping her on bottles until 16 mo, trying to transition her off formula to something that would not hurt her... she's now at 18 months and gets one every now and then if she's sick or teething really bad! It's a comfort thing... our goal is to have her broke from her pacifier by 2... she's pretty good about giving it up after bedtime and naps... but again, when she's teething it gives her comfort!

@mommyofsoontob3, @dreamermom, my thoughts exactly! He was off the pacifier at 4 months only because he just didn't want it. My moms like well you were off the bottle at 9 months. Well good for me. Idk why it matters. People just want their babies to grow up too fast. Moms have enough on their backs without having to be hassled by others, especially family 🙄

@jaxmomma, I agree... everyone is different... just let him do it at his own pace... as long as your pediatrician does not have concerns then that's all I would care about!

My son was off pacifier by 8 months and offthe bottle by one and my daughters 16 months and still has her pacifier, bottle and still wants milk during the night. She has started taking a cup even though we've been trying since 8 months. But every baby is different. There's no reason he should be off the bottle yet unless you want him to. He will give it up when he's ready
