Anyone else have the doctor tell you to put a pillow under newborns mattress due to reflux? She…

My parents had to do it for my little sister. She's had horrible acid reflux since she was born. But that was also 17 years ago.

Thank you for the input! I sleep in the same room at her anyway so I would hope I would notice any issues if they arose. Just slightly nervous of course.

they recommend swings or rockers or even the car seat to help. we use all three and alternate. we also sit cross legged and prop his head up for the 30 minutes they say to keep them up.

@ssdj4, yeah we prop her for 30 minutes even longer after every feeding and still when we go to set her down flat she gets fussy. I definitely am going to try the rocker and I put her in her chair but she won't fall asleep in it and same for her car seat (unless we go for a drive)

Are you on meds? My daughter was so bad with acid reflux her throats was so burned (they put a camera down her throat to see) it was awful...anyways they put her on liquid medication for 2 weeks and she was a different baby and never had isssues again

@taybeard we do have her on meds (we just started this week) but she seems like it helps her for a bit then it wears off.

It took 2 weeks for us to see a complete difference
