How Can I Connect with Other Expectant or New Moms in My Area?

Does anyone know of a good way to meet other expectant moms or new moms in your area? I Googled and can't believe there is no such group in my area. I started a Facebook group, but not sure how that can be promoted. I was going to start a Meetup group as well, but I don't want to pay $60 to start it.

All of my girlfriends have kids already and just LOVE to give me advice all the time which is nice but also annoying. I want to start making connections with other first time moms.
