Any ideas on how I can slowly transition Delos (17 months) into his toddler bed? I know I can't expect him to just do it right now with a new brother and we are moving soon hopefully (waiting for an opening). But when we move, we expect him to stay in his room with Jace (6 weeks) and not in our bed for too long. Maybe just starting out in his own bed in a new place can work? When we moved into my in laws when he was 10 months and only slept in his bed, we made the mistake of letting him sleep with us because we were all going through a rough time (death in the family).

with all of my kids I simply put them in the bed. though they went straight from the crib to a regular bed, my youngest whose two went from a crib to a bunkbed (bottom bunk) at about 14 months with no issues at all. they will get up and down at first cause its new and they can but you just have to be persistent and put him back to bed when he gets up eventually he will catch on.

we do have a bed set of his favorite TV show @sherrynygirl that's exactly why we bought them too was in hopes that it will work. we haven't tried yet because of the new baby and no room for another bed in here.
