mom's who have mirina iud; how long did your first period last? I got my Mirena on the 27th and that day my period started heavy. I am still bleeding today, albeit lighter. should I be concerned?

@jgruenwald I had the Mirena before and got no period for 2 years and loved it but now I can't go to bed without a pad on it sucks
first one now the rest have been spotting which some women get zero periods and others get spotting. personally I love my mirena I hate periods so much and the cramps I get are nothing compared to my real actual period cramps it's a relief honestly
a few months until the docs gave me a med to stop the bleeding which still took a few days. then it implanted and they yanked it out
@lovingtheo I exclusively breastfeed and got my Mirena and immediately got my period
I had one but I haven't had a period probably since I breastfeed I was told the first few periods are going to be very heavy your body has to get use to the hormones
i don't know if is normal but i had the mirena and I barely had my period at least it wasn't heavy. talk to your doctor
I got super lucky my period barely lasted a week after I got it put in
