Is it really painful and dangerous/risking a c section? My MIL keeps sharing her annoying horror stories with getting induced literally every damn time I see her -_- Apparently she was induced for 2 kids and the 2nd kid her body wasn't ready so she almost died. She told me not to let them induce me but If I don't have any progress by next week my doctor will want to (I'll schedule it during the 41st week) but im thinking of letting him because I tested positive for GBS and just want to make sure I have the antibiotics. what do you guys think?

I think everyone's experience is different. If baby doesn't come on his own and your dr. Thinks it's best to get induced then I think you should. I wish you the best of luck with your labor, delivery and recovery! 🤗

Ignore your MIL. that's rude of her to try & scare you. it can be very painful, but pain is a personal experience & we all experience it differently. they say pitocin can increase risk of C-section because it can stress out the baby & even put baby in an unfavorable position thus needing a C-section for the baby's best interest. -- you're only 38 weeks so why is your DR concerned about your progress? Most 1st time moms won't go into labor til 41 weeks. The GBS antibiotics are given through IV so you'll have them no matter what. Sorry if this sounds negative or scary. I'm just being honest & don't want you to be scared into being induced. -- 💞

@mamalotus thank you for the information! ❤ very helpful!!! not negative or scary at all :D because I'm a week and 2 days from my due date and cervix is completely closed and I'm not dilated, so if I have no progress by due date he will want to schedule induction :/ only thing I don't like about him is he's big on inducing. I have mixed feelings though.

@sarahbellee I see. does he know you don't want inducing unless it's 100% needed? Letting him know you have a strong opinion may help-- hopefully! Walking can help you go into labor on time. There are other things you can do, too. Google it-- YouTube has good videos. 😃 Schedule the inducing as late as you can into your 41 st week. I've heard most 1stb time moms will go into labor before or around 41 weeks & 1-3 days. 💞 Stay positive. Don't stress. 💞💞🙏😏
