Today, Tueaday January 10th 2017, was my due date to have this little princess. Ended up having her Thursday December 29th 2016 at 5:29am. At 38 weeks and 2 days pregnant. On Wednesday at 1:15pm my husband and I went to the doctors as we did every Wednesday but this time it was different. My blood pressure had been high when I went to the hospital on Christmas evening, so they checked it when I went to the doctors. The nurse checked it and then my ob checked it. He said he was going to call the hospital and ask if they have an opening to inducing me. We were sent into the waiting room to wait for information. He told us that we may be having her within the next few days. We were sitting there and I was calling everyone and telling them. I was so nervous and didn't know what to think or how to react. I was in shock. The day was coming to have our little girl and I was so nervous but excited. Reality was finally hitting me. They called my name and sent us in back. He checked my blood pressure one more time and then we went into his office. He told us that they will call me to come in that night or the next day. And next time he would see us we would have our baby girl. He said congratulations and he will see us soon and hopes everything works out. We left and went to go get something to eat. As we were leaving the dinner to go home and eat I received a phone call. Yale New Haven Hospital had called asking me to come in as soon as possible. So we went home and ate and got everything ready to go. Then we went to my brothers job and told him the news and got some coffee. After that we went to new haven and took pictures before going to the hospital. That was the last time our baby girl was going to be inside of me. And we would be holding her within a matter of hours. After we took the pictures we went to the hospital and I felt in shock. I was really about to have our baby girl. We walked into the building and they looked up my name. We got brought into a room where they were doing blood work and inducing me. After being induced we were sent up into another room to wait for it to fall out. I was sitting down feeling the contractions getting stronger and stronger. They were keeping track of them and my blood pressure. My mom told me to try walking around because that might help. As soon as I stood up i felt something hanging. I felt between my legs and the balloon had fallen out. I was now 4cm dilated. We ringed for the nurse and I was freaking out in pain. while we were waiting for them to come in and check me to send me to the labor room I was walking around the room in circles with my husband. he was holding my hands and helping me walk. finally they came in and said I was ready to go down. they sent us into the labor room and hooked me up to everything. checking my blood pressure, my contractions, and baby's heart rate. a bunch of different nurses kept coming in and out because they were switching nights shifts. when I was 6cm dilated they said it could take a hour or 2 for me to dilate to 7cm because it is usually the longest to go up with. so they brought my mom and my husband in cots and blankets to try and get some rest. sure enough when they checked me next i was 8cm dilated and things were kicking into place. they had put the epidural in me but it didn't work. my right side was a little numb but I could completely move and feel all the pain. I was squeezing the shit out of my husbands hand lol. and my mom was helping me breathe. I kept wanting to push but they kept telling me no. 20 minutes later they came in and checked me, I was 9cm dilated. they said they would come back in in 20 minutes to check me. I felt the need to push but I knew it wasn't time yet. I just had to keep focusing on my breathing. it was funny when my mom tried to get a drink I was yelling mom mom when I felt the contractions come back. and then when hubby tried to go pee and my contractions were less than 2 minutes apart. so as soon as he walked in the bathroom I started yelling his name and he came rushing out and had peed on himself just to come help me. my mom kept saying to look at him because some how it calmed me down more and helped. the 20 minutes was up and the doctor came in. I was 10cm dilated and ready to go. they were all rushing to get ready while I asked if I could start pushing. this little girl was ready to come out. I started pushing once she said i could and they weren't even ready. I felt her head coming and they told me to stop or i will rip really bad. I had to let her stretch me out. I couldn't take it no more and asked if I could keep pushing. they finally said yes and i started pushing. they kept telling me to breathe because I was just pushing trying to get her out. after 9 minutes of pushing and letting her stretch me some, she was out and on my chest. finally had our beautiful little girl in our arms like we wanted. I couldn't believe I just pushed her out and i was just so happy to have her and i was still in shock lol. baby girl I am so happy you are here with us. you are now 11 days old and the most beautiful person on this universe. I love you with all my heart and mommy and daddy couldn't be happier to have you💜
