So, my daughter is having trouble with a gassy tummy. Ive been giving her mylicon drops but they haven't been working too well. She cries hysterically. So I've been told to try gripe water. It just arrived in the mail, can I give it to her since I've been giving her the mylicon throughout the day? Or do I need to wait till tmrrw? Also how many times a day do I give the gripe water to her? Do I put it in her bottle or separate?

you can give her the gripe water now and i believe its up to 6 or 7 times a day.

@mommyofdoubletrouble, she is only happy when she is sitting up right it seems. We think she has acid reflux so when she's flat she spits up a lot.

yeah my baby has acid reflux we tried about 4 formulas before going with Enfamil A.r and its been good so far. the dr said reflux in babys goes away at 6 months

I tried mylicon and gripe neither worked! a Hispanic lady told me to try chamomile tea and it works wonders!!

I tried colic calm gripe water it helps calm him. Also I use the Enfamil forumla nutragiem. Dr Brown bottles..

@lpreston, I have dr brown bottles, they have helped. Just got gripe water for her so we will see if it helps. @mommyofdoubletrouble, do you give grip water in the bottle or separate?

Yes yes bottles really help prevent the extra gas swallowed

Reflux doesn't always go away at 6 months. My son still has it and has been on meds for it since he was a month old. @mommyofdoubletrouble
@xalyssasays my son lived on gas drops and gripe water. I use to give him both at the same time. I just gave it to him straight from the syringe. I also loved the night time gripe water.
