Everyone is different. Mine didn't hurt. Breaking my water just felt like I peed myself but for my friend it was the worst experience everrr. My worst pain during the whole thing was puting in my epidural and my first time peeing after giving birth.
i was induced at 37 weeks. when i went in i was 1cm. they put in a balloon tube like tied to a bottle of iv hanging off the bed and once your 4 cm it will fall out. they also gave me pitocin. it wasnt painful it was just really uncomfortable. it also depends on your pain tolerance. but i ended up having a csection because my baby was to big for my body to push out.
not to scared you but it is PAINFUL!! I was induced on friday got there with 3 cm nd contractions that i wasnt feeling at first it was good no pain until i hit 7 cm the worst pain ever epidural didnt work for me ... when i was 10 i did 5 pushes nd my baby was out
I was induced due to preeclampsia.
It honestly was such an easy experience. But I think I got it better than some do because some say getting induced was horrible
Anyways, they put a gel on my cervix to help it start thinning and opening, that triggered contractions. Painful, yes, but I could handle them for about 12 hours. Then they said they'd start pitocin which would make my contractions stronger and more painful, and I was barley handling the ones I was already having, so I got the epi. Had baby 7 hours later, I was in labor for 24 hours but that's because the first 12-16 hours was trying to get my body to progress
