Anyone have any suggestions on what I should be buying on my own in preparation for the baby? I haven't had a shower yet, and I'm hesitant on relying on that to get what I need.

But whatever you want. The main things that you would want yourself to buy for him or her. That's what I did.

@raquely @waitingformyuniverse Thanks guys! I'm a big planner and I'm getting nervous because if I do have a shower it won't be until later on and I'm already feeling behind in my planning.

@lexonmars Everyone keeps saying you can never have enough diapers so that's definitely a place to start!

I also had my baby shower planned yesterday, but had to cancel due to the winter storm. So I'm happy I stocked up on the things I bought months ago. @emily526,
