I been on depo for almost 3 years I was supposed to get my a shot October but I didn't becuase me and my fiance want to have a baby ... My doctor just told me it will take 8 months to a year for me to get my period back wtf .... that is a long time we wanted to have another baby sooner 😰😓

I bleed almost non stop after my first Depo shot. They told me it would get better it never did. For quite a while. And my cousin didn't even get her period back for more than a year after stopping depo. Good luck. Hope it happens fast for you.

@beebaby hey are you a doctor ? I don't understand why they offered me that knowing it would do this and I told them we planned on have another kid in 3 years . They didn't even me the long list of side effects that the shot comes with smh . Very disappointed and longer ? how much longer ?
Yeah. that is why I dislike and never offer to my patient depo as the first option. It can sometimes take longer than that. But it may not take that long

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. I got off depo. Had some bleeding like a period right after I miss the shot. Then it took about 9 months or so to have a regular cycle. I'd had periods but they were irregular. I conceived a little under a year after stopping. I wasn't actively trying until the end though.
