So today is Day 5 without diapers for Silas! BIG NEWS: He had his first successful outing in public with no accidents! 😁🙌 He stays dry at night or wakes up to pee. He can now tell me what he has to do on the potty and will even stop eating in his high chair to let me know he has to go. He finally got out of the "no" phase for the most part and can tell me yes to different questions including if I ask him if he needs to potty. He is seriously growing so fast! 😍😢

@mami1234 He will! My husband wanted his mom to train him but I'm like no I want to teach him and bond with him! (plus she's harsh about training) Anyways, I had to approach him different ways and what worked was I'd sit him on the potty for 4 hours a day I know that's a long time but he watched TV, played with toys, and ate meals. Then every time he went I'd reward him with m&ms I stopped rewards after a week or so and just verbally praised him with high 5s. After 3 weeks he started going on the potty without me telling him to sit so I'd let him run around naked all day and he'd go on his own. He did wear a diaper at night. Then right after Christmas I started putting underwear on him and it took 2 packs to go through for him to realize they aren't diapers 😂😂😂 then I was like well I'm not gonna buy diapers anymore and when he runs out he runs out. He's had 4 accidents in 5 days but 1 was my fault 1 my hubbys (we forgot to make his penis aim down 😂) the other 2 he was napping and peed and woke up to being wet so he doesn't wet himself anymore.

@mami1234 go ahead! Just remember patience and he'll learn quick. I also did not spank him or yell at him for peeing on the floor I simply told him "these are underwear it's not a diaper next time pee in the potty and say "mommy potty, pee-pee or poo-poo"".

@mami1234 you'll learn, your son is just exploring the world around him. What seems to annoy you is actually a learning experience for him so let him play in dirt every once in a while or run around like crazy haha let him be a kid as long as he's safe. My motto is take it one day at a time just because today is bad doesn't mean tomorrow will be too.
