Anyone have any recommendations for hip pain? Now that I've been sleeping solely in my side, it's waking me up how much my hip/side hurts and I have to stretch every time before I go back in. I have a Snoogle pillow which helps me get comfortable but I still get hip pain. Thanks in advance!!
With my first pregnancy my SI joints loosened FAR more than they should have... I slept with a pillow between my knees and started stretching them when they hurt, which temporarily made them feel better... but seemed to make it worse long term... ended up doing physical therapy because a year after having her I was still in great pain... my physical therapist gave me simple exercises to do that help tighten the over stretched ligaments and stabilizer muscles... after about 2-3 weeks it was night and day difference! Some of them were, clam shell, bird dog, fire hydrants, side steps (later squatting side steps), cat/cow, I can try to send you links if you can't find anything in google... they are Pilates/yoga type exercises... my husband sometimes does them with me, when his back/hips start bothering him! 😅
Thanks so much! Yeah the basic stretching when I get up to pee in the night helps for like an hour and then starts to hurt again. I've started to have hip pain at 11 weeks that's only getting worse as I go along, now 15 weeks but I feel it during the day now. Figured I'd try to be proactive now before I get to third trimester and my hips fall off! I'll google search exercises for form, thanks for listing some ☺️
