8 vaccines at a 12 month appointment?! Got me second guessing the more I read into it.. 😩

Read about the varicella and mr vaccine! JJ's already had everything up until now but someone on here sparked my interest. Apparently they use DNA and protein from aborted babies' cells In the damn chicken pox vaccine. I am going to read more into it, but I don't like the sound of that. 😩 @theinkedmommy,

Thank you! That was super informative. The article one person had shared was pretty biased so it was hard to really form an opinion solely on that. I definitely will continue to let JJ get his vaccines because it's better for him to be protected and honestly they've been used for how long now? I don't think that the cell lines affect them in any way, though it'd be nice if they'd find a different mechanism. @theinkedmommy,

Same! I agree about the flu shot, I don't want JJ getting it either. But the others I feel like it's better to get them than to not. He's never had any bad reaction to a vaccine anyway. But yeah they should do a combo! I know they did with his first set it was one combo of 3, another one, and an oral one. @theinkedmommy,

My pedi combines them. He gets 3 usually. 2 shots and 1 oral. Agreed about to flu shot. I passed on that

my daughter got a combo with 3 in it & an oral & then a week in a half later got the other two shots. this time around I think I'll do one single shot & the oral, then a week later do the combo, then do the other single shot. lol I'm splitting them up good this time.

Yeah no problem there! I always thought about splitting his up but he tolerates them well. Depending on what they plan on giving him at his 1 year check up I'll have to decide if we will wait to get a few! @heatherlg88,

I'm not doing the flu. I personally get severely sick every time I get it. Can only imagine what it'll do to my son. If he does get sick that means a month of no rest and having to deal with constant crying. Irritation, clingy, can't breath because of mucus. No thanks!
