Does any one else get nervous to post anything positive on Facebook because other moms try to one-up…
Does any one else get nervous to post anything positive on Facebook because other moms try to one-up you or post something negative that makes you feel bad about posting it? Like for example posts like "my daughter is finally walking" end up getting comments like "yeah well my daughter walked at nine months" or "yeah well mine didn't walk until 14 months so lucky you"....or if you post "two months old and my baby is sleeping through the night", you get "mine started sleeping at 2 weeks old" or "be lucky, mine still doesn't sleep through the night and they're almost a year old".
Because of this, I don't post about most of the things that make me proud.

Yesssss. It is EXACTLY things like this that made me quit FB. People are either putting you down to lift themselves up or putting themselves down to elicit sympathy. Why is it so hard to type "Congrats! So excited for you!" and then move on with their day? Ugh. 🙄

My facebook is all about my daughter. I rarely post anything about me. I rarely get comments that are other people trying to one-up me or are negative. If I do I usually put the person in their place but most people on my Facebook are family that don't live by me or old friends that look up to me. So they usually ask for advice on how I do things or tell me that they are proud of me or tell me how big and beautiful my daughter is. People I know understand that I don't and will not tolerate negative comments and will cut them out completly like I've done to many family and friends already.

@babynessa, I'm so jealous!!! Lol. I'm really happy that your friends seem to respect you and are happy for you! My Facebook is mostly just picture of my daughter. Never updates.

Yeah I don't have time for the negativity and I for sure don't have time to be texting everyone updates. Only person I text is my husband and maybe every few months one of my sisters who works 12 hour shifts, full time student and has five kids. Everyone else can go on Facebook to see updates on mt LO.
