I was constantly debating this with Max when he was a newborn. I'd never experienced either so I was unsure. I think he had a bit of colic as he struggled to wind, would take ages to settle after a feed. It was worse at night. Have you tried gripe water or colief? (if babies old enough). Maybe be worth a try. Or trying MAM or Dr Browns bottles. I used to feed Max sitting more up right & had to keep him up for a while before laying him back down. Luckily he grew out of it around 6/7weeks.

@sara-lou luckily she winds fine,big loud ones too lol but the fact she gets a lot of trapped wind n it's so loud also the sick n hiccups has me baffled 😕. We give her infacol which seems to help a little. She likes her tummy being massaged which makes me think it's sometimes sore. x

Max got the hiccups after pretty much every feed. I didn't find infacol or gripe water helped. Although it did with Morgan. I didn't find anything I tried helped so I'm glad he grew out of it!

The hiccups is just the wind/gas escaping slowly rather than in one big burp xx

I think you know. Both are very prominent. Colicky babies cry.... Alot Especially in the evenings and often for no apparent reason. Reflux babies vomit... ALOT. I'm a FTM and so when every HV and midwife told me dw babies vomiting is normal I listened until it got too much at 5 weeks and me and husband both said we don't care this isn't normal. He would vomit so much I wouldn't have space to put him in his bed due to wet patches. Even now the entire extended family know if my baby has just eaten give him some time..... In fact regardless, he's probably going to vomit on you.
