my OB Office charged me $376 monthly for 6 months and I have insurance coverage! I freakin' work for an insurance company! it's highway robbery!

WTF why? The most I had to pay was $90 a week for about 2 months and only because I was high risk and needed ultrasounds once a week.

the way my office explained it is they want you to have a "nest egg" set up for when you deliver. if you put money towards it every month, then your bill won't be nearly as high. I have good insurance and my payment was 293/month from June till now (delivery). it goes towards your Co payments and whatnot as well.

I know my OB says it covers all appointments labor & Delivery, but then there is anesthesia, peds, hospital, & extra charge for circumcision (if you have a boy & choose to have that done)....

I think a lot has to do with ObamaCare driving deductibles up. I paid maybe 2k total for My daughter's birth 2 years ago! my son's birth will have cost me more than double that!

wow that's ridiculous 😲 thankfully from what I heard I'll have no co-pays at my docs office for any of the prenatal. if not it's usually like a $20 or $30 copay
