Just asking because where I live at I have no friends or family ,so I plan on having my baby shower back home in Louisiana and I didn't want to travel that far around 7 or 8 months because I feel it would be dangerous so I thought about having it earlier,but I'm not sure yet.
Personally I feel like 6-7 months. You'd wanna be big enough to play baby shower games, but early enough to where if you don't get everything you need, you have plenty of time to get whatever is left.

Whenever you want people typically do it 7-8 months. I had mine at 34 weeks so 8 1/2 months.

I was 31. & I still had plenty of time to get things I needed that weren't gifts at the shower
