Hey guys, who's got that birth control implant, the one that goes in your arm? Can you tell me a bit about it? I want to get it next week. Any info is much appreciated :):)

@emkasting I haven't had any yet and I got it about 2 months ago. I haven't even had a period since. which is great 😂
The depo is horrible when you stop. I had severe abdominal pain when I tried to get off of it. I thought I was going to die, no joke. And it made my bones weak.. everyone is different tho
I had the implant from the age of 17. I recommend it fully for the purpose of birth control: never had any problems with it and my fiancé and I never used condoms. Thwside effects can put you off, though. My periods would last for months at a time. Then they would stop for a week or two, and then start right back up for another couple months. I had cystic acne pop up that, four months after having the rod removed, still won't go away completely, I packed on pounds, from 140 all the way up to 225 in the course of the three years I had the rod in my arm. But everyone's body is different. I had it put in for the purpose of birth control and didn't really care about the side effects, but some people might not want to risk all the extra side effects that can happen.
I got the shot. I saw a video of the implant getting pulled out and it terrified me
nope no weight gain. I got it done at the obgyn. it made my arm sore but that was about it
