Can someone pls take google away from me? I just google baby hiccups around 30 weeks and one woman said it can be a sign that the cord is wrapped around the baby's neck or a sign of cord compression??! Please put my mind at ease, the past 2 days my little girl has had hiccups
@morganmommy79, I think earlier on, around 20 weeks when I had my anatomy scan they pointed out the cord but they were just pointing out all the stuff and they didn't say anything regarding the cord so yeah I guess if something was abnormal with it they would've mentioned it
@laurmic, I didn't know you could ask either but since I've been through it I asked the tech to show me the placenta and locate the cord. Told her my experience. She said it appears the cord isn't near the baby's head so that's good. Sometimes it's a little harder to locate but I'm sure if they seem something they didn't like they'd mention it. :)
@morganmommy79, yeah google makes me go nuts, I was googling everything my first trimester and that got bad so I let it go but I guess since I only have 10 weeks left I've been googling like crazy lol. But aw good, I'm glad he was okay/is doing good. I didn't even know you can ask them to look for the cord, I have a 3D ultrasound on Saturday so I'll ask them!
@laurmic, that crosses or minds anyway I'm sure but google only makes it worse. Lol when I get an ultrasound done I ask them specifically to look for the cord because of my son. He's doing well and 12 years old now but I don't want it happening again so I ask them to locate it.
@morganmommy79, really!? Phew that makes me feel better too, about the amniotic fluid. Definitely saw the lungs developing well, which I should've just stopped researching right then & there lol but thanks for the reassurance! :)
Only thing I've seen about it is that their lungs are developing well and they swallow amniotic fluid. My baby has had hiccups several times. My son had the cord around his neck but I don't remember him having hiccups. He barely moved actually.
@mrs.n2014, yesss I read the one thing about the strengthening of the lungs which put me at ease! Thank u :) I figured everything was fine I'm just getting more paranoid since it's getting closer
@babynumber2ishere, okay thanks!! Just the passed two days she's been having them pretty often but it said on one of my apps that it was normal so idk why I even googled it 🙄🙄🙄
Both my babies had hiccups several times a day during the last few weeks and they were fine!! I googled the same thing with my first and freaked out too! I said something to the dr and he wasn't concerned, and they both were fine🙂
@lovely_d92, definitely not lol I wish I could ban myself from being able to use it until I give birth haha
@mygiftof2016, @ashleynicolee, ugh thank you lol google is literally the devil and I've stayed away from it for most of my pregnancy so idk why I had the urge to google hiccups lol
babies get hiccups all the time! ive had 4 healthy babies and they all had them like crazy!
@laurmic, yeah, it was mentioned to me about the cord looking like a boys part but it was just the cord. Lol the tech showed me it was pulsating (blood flow). But I look every time and ask if I don't see it myself. :)
