my son gets croup bad he has asthma. you may not need an er visit there are things you can do at home but honestly if you want it to get better fast then go get the steroid and treatments and be done. things you can do at home is sit in a steamed bathroom and play. cold weather helps too but you live in Texas unless at night it gets cool then walk outside for a bit.

so it's a liquid. when you have croup your throat shrinks to the size of a small straw. they will give machine meds which I a vapor to inhale and a liquid steroid to drink. it opens throat. I would do it Hun especially if your bringing baby home. croup is not contagious but the illness that caused the croup may be.

do we just go in the er and tell them his symptoms and see if they offer it or can we ask for it? I think we might do it. @deckroth2001
