They give you pitocin which is a killer. it makes your contractions so intense you will see your life flash before your eyes.

Pitocin didn't do anything to me. My doctor was in shock I was walking around the ward and I maxed out the highest level of pitocin the could give me.

But normally they will do your Ivs, give you pitocin and give you fluids. As soon as your first bag of fluids is done you can get an epidural, but that may slow down your labor.

Something I did for my labor with both my kids, I sat Indian style and I was great. Normally I can stub a toe and cry but as long as I say that way I was good

so after my first bag is gone thats when they give me the epidural ??? like im tryna get that epidural asap not when my water breaks 😢😢😢 @genesismommy26

well if you get the epidural early they may have to redo it

@mommytinkerbella2017, my mom is a labor and delivery nurse and she said that once the first bag is empty you can ask for it, just like beebaby said I could wear off but depends on how your body handles it.

I always stuck it out, I got a epidural with both my kids, I didn't need it everyone scared me to it. But mine wore off in 30-40 min with both.

I'm not going to get one with this one.
