Rant a little : My Mom asks for my daughter all the time. My son is about to be 1 in a few days and she has never asked to keep him or even watch him for a few hrs or less.
She asked me tonight if my daughter could stay the night, I told her she could go over over for the day but she didn't like that. We told her if she kept my son for a few hrs the day she wanted to keep our daughter over night that would be fine.

my mom was like that with my oldest. she didn't want to hardly keep my middle son and now she hardly even sees my youngest.

No she told me while I was pregnant, she didn't want to get close to him and she told others that she knows she favors my daughter.... and she started taking my daughter every other weekend so I could work at 3m, she even took my niece that early too. So I know it has nothing to do with age of the children and my mom is only 44 too.

We have. And she will wait and then a few days later say idk why she can't stay.
She is unhappy with her coming over for the whole day, she wants her there over night.
It's definitely a tough situation on everyone. I just had to rant a little do have to many people to talk to

Oh well that sucks if she said it while u wer pregnant. Not cool. Ur right to keep them as a unit. They are siblings. I kno my mom did my nieces like that whn they wer younger but only because out of the 3 girls 2 of them would steal from our house and my sister wouldn't discipline them. But would get mad whn my mom would ask for the one who didnt. Now THAT I understand. But if she already had her mind made up before ur son was born...not cool. Ur doing the right thing. Stick to ur guns too.
