i had a small wedding and loved it! I didnt have to divide my attention between so many people. Also I was 7 months pregnant so a small wedding ment less stress for me lol!

@shelbyurbanyi we are considering something smaller because even though I originally wanted it to be down in kentucky, his family is very important to us too. (his parents) and his mom just had heart surgery and can't travel so we wanted her to come. if my family wanted to be here they have the means to travel.

@jessicarose0602 I understand about wanting both sides of the family there, and with his mom and the heart surgery that definitely puts some perspective on everything. Ultimately its up to you and your fiancé what to do. Good luck with your decision and happy early new year lol

Whatever you do hun don't settle! If you can afford the extras do it. If not focus on what you for sure do want and work around it.

Honestly you should totally do what you want to do, because you will remember this day for the rest of your life 😊 my husband and I had a wedding with about 65 people. It was a beautiful day, but honestly, we budgeted very, very tightly and got help from family and it still cost $15,000. Taken us 3 years to pay it off. We have always said if we could do it again, I would still buy my wedding dress, but we would have gotten married at the courthouse and had a dinner reception afterwards with family only and used that money we saved for a down payment on a house
