Ok so this is gonna be kinda long and may be confusing...my husband and I live with his mother (my MIL) my 2 year old son is having trouble falling and staying asleep...I take him up to bed at 7:30pm and I have to lay next to his bed otherwise he screams bloody murder like I'm killing him so it usually takes me 3 hours to get him to fall asleep once I'm out of his room I only get about and hour maybe 2 to myslef then my 2 year old wakes up and crawls into my bed with me...if my 1 year old son is in his crib and wakes up there is no way that my 2 year old will go back to sleep cause as soon as he's asleep and I get up to leave the room my 1 year old starts screaming and that usually wakes up my 2 year old so I bring my 2 year old on my bed...I can't try the cry it out method cause my MIL is very against it and also spanking...I have tried everything to get my 2 year old to sleep in his own bed at night and stay in it but nothing has worked and his Dr is no help at all...I just don't know what to do anymore my husband and I can never have alone time together cause our 2 year old is always in our bed...I just don't think it's normal that I have to sit and basically babysit him just for him to go to sleep...shouldn't I just be able to lay him down and leave the room without him getting up and crying...he does have a tv in his room but he only gets to watch 3 episodes of a tv show then tv turns off and it's off for the night(have been doing that since he was born)...he has never had a problem sleeping until we moved over a year ago then all of a sudden he won't stay asleep or sleep in his own room...what are some things I can do to help him stay asleep all night in his bed in his room...my husband and I just want our bed and alone time back...I'm sorry if this is not the right category for this I literally just installed this app 30 minutes ago.
