My boyfriend's ex is talking about moving to California with her boyfriend and taking their kid with her. In NC the court nearly always goes with the mom so I suggested to boyfriend to move to California as well to be with his daughter. He doesn't like the idea but she came before me and our kid and whether he realizes it or not she always comes first to him so if it came down to it actually happening I wouldn't be surprised if he did follow them.

No. Don't think like that. Fight it. If he has a stable job and home there shouldn't be a reason for the court to side with her. I recommend you fight her in court. Its not fair to your child if the dad leaves because of ex baby mama. And its against the law for to leave state with baby without telling him so if she does that, that makes it worse for her. And just because NC court may agree, California Laws are different. @ravens_mommy

yes fight it they usually don't do that especially when the child has family or brothers and sisters close to them
