Okay so this is kind of TMI. I'm warning you in advance. So I started having sex again at about 7 weeks postpardum. It's still a bit painful until we get into it. It takes a while for my bits to get prepared if you know what I mean. so for the last 2 days when I was having a little brown spotting I was thinking it was just because of sex and maybe we were just a little too rough but I'm not on the pill and we haven't really been using any protection. I know it's awful but we did that for 4 years before I got pregnant with the beautiful baby I have now. I will be doing a pregnancy test as soon as I can but I want to know if anyone has had this before without being pregnant a second time.

@mommy1991 usually when brownish it's old blood. I would still do a pregnancy test to be safe 😉

We have sex with out protection as well and we started around the same time you did, I seen the same thing and even after we did one time I was bleeding like a period for almost I week I was terrified but turns out it was just because not everything was fully healed as yet but if you feel you should take a pregnancy test go for it, also the doc told me you don't need to be on birth control if your strictly breastfeeding only but I still took a prescription just to be double sure lol @mommy1991,

I had the same thing, it hasn't been that long since you had your baby, and you can bleed for up to 8 weeks, sounds like old blood as well. I was worried as well, but I didn't even know when to take a pregnancy test.

I'm getting the IUD put in soon. Nervous but it's my only option because of my health. The pull out system is too risky for me lol. Alot of women get pregnant with pre sperm 😉

@starting_over39 My friend has that. I'm just scared of the hormones and stuff. I've never been a fan of birth control. and I was using the pull out system with my boyfriend for 5 years before I actually got pregnant which is a pretty good streak if you ask me lol But I know that after giving birth you're a lot more at risk of getting pregnant. I guess the IUD would be an option
