If your husband's step mother refused to come to your baby's gender reveal because her family wasn't invited due to the drama that THEY started, would you let her take part in the baby's life? My daughter still has all biological grandparents so she's unnecessary. My child will be loved with or without her. I've tried before to be civil with her but anytime one thing blows over her or her family comes up with something else. She never protects my husband let alone me from the attacks of her family and I'm at a loss. I don't want my baby girl growing up in this mess. Advice?

@tratliffe, she claims to treat him as her own. But even before I was pregnant I knew the type of love a mother should have for her child. What she has is not anything close. Even my husband says they have a weird and awkward relationship and that he can't get along with her. I know some step mothers can be real gold. But this lady is far from it.
