I am having so much difficulty breastfeeding I don't know how moms who exclusively breastfeed do it

You will produce more milk as he keeps eating. Don't give up! You can do it. If you think he needs more give him a little bit of formula until your supply builds up. I had a better supply around day 4-5

They didn't try a nipple shield and I met with a lactation consultant twice she was able to get him to latch for 15 mins on each breast but when I try to do it myself no luck , he cries and screams I think he is hungry but then he just falls back to sleep for a few hours after a failed latching attempt @brownsugarluv

Is he latching on? Try nipple shields. Your hospital may offer a lactation consultant. WIC also has consultants. Don't give up mama! It's rough but you can do it.

Lots of mama's here are willing to help. Be specific with what your having a hard time with.

its just stressful my son is 24 hours old and has only had 30 mins on my breast and 3 ml through a syringe , he is very sleepy but sometimes he wakes up and screams I feel like I'm starving him even though the nurses say no @babyrossmommy

He will clean out my milk before bed though. And I always have a over supply. It's like he knows it's bed time

It took me a good 4 weeks to get the hang of it. My son wouldn't even latch until he was 2 weeks! I was having to pump to feed him. But I just stuck with it and now he is breast only.
