Wow what a horrible night we had. We ended up having to take Taylor to the er, her fever spiked to 101.1. Her pediatrician said to take her if it went over 100.5.
They tried to take her blood but kept missing the vein so I was sobbing seeing her hurting so much and my husband ended up yelling at them to get the hell out of her arm and leave. It was terrible. It took them 4 hours to get us back in a room. She was exposed to more shit in the waiting area than this cold she has so that has me worried.
So 7 hours at the er for the "dr" to basically say she's sick because I'm not breastfeeding anymore. 🙄 he didn't directly say that but stopped himself from saying it, but we caught where he was going with "she doesn't have mom anymore"
Then we get home at 2:30 and poor Taylor can't even sleep cuz she's so snotty and I end up vomiting the rest of the night.
And this morning she still has a fever. She's going to her pediatrician in a little while, so I'm hoping we get answers why she still has a fever.

@babynumber2ishere, poor little baby! That's so insensitive of the doctor! i am surprised that they didn't keep you in the hospital. at younger than 2 months with such high fever, they should have kept you to figure out what's wrong. She probably has an infection and needs antibiotics. mine had a UTI. kept him in the hospital for 2 days.

@concrete, they checked her for a uti and we find out in a little while if it's that or not. She did get a shot of an antibiotic last night, but still feverish. this hospital is awful here ☹️ feel so bad for sick babies!!

@beebaby, I wish I would have thought about the germs before I impulsed the decision to go. And they said no meds because it'll "mask whatever is making her sick" ???
I hate the er and wish we never went. But saw the 101.1 and freaked out😕

@babynumber2ishere, we are lucky here and have a pediatric ER. we were in the waiting room for less than 5 minutes. they got all of his tests done in under 30 min. if your child is under 2 mo, a trip to ER with fever is safer than not taking them.

@beebaby, and that's what we wanted to do was make her comfortable, we could just tell she was miserable. It's so weird how there's so many opinions on something that should be set in stone, like medicine or not lol
