I had this same problem with my daughter a few days ago .. she hadn't pooped in 4 days and she was irritated .. I had taken her to the hospital and they had given her gas drops and a suppository , and it still didn't relive her .. so I took matters into my own hands and did it the old school way .. I put a couple drops or castor oil in her bottle and she's has been better since . She's been letting it all out ! Today she had a diaper full and it was everywhere , but I was more than happy to get her cleaned up . She's 6 weeks old .

I'm a first time mommy and was scared to do it , but now I'm so glad I done it . It won't hurt him a bit . He'll fell much better if you try it . I promise ! And castor oil is cheap !

@cambrialatrece97, yeah my mom was saying oh he's going to poop everywhere! I'm like I'd rather him be covered in shit so I know he's not suffering with it. I totally wouldn't mind cleaning him up. I just feel bad 😔 I may go to the pharmacy tomorrow and ask the pharmacist what they say with the prune juice not working.

I just gave him apple juice with this constipation relief stuff to see if that helps. He loved the apple juice not the prune( I can't blame him I don't like it either) but if he doesn't go by tomorrow morning I'm going to the drug store to get something. @missjess, poor baby ☹️ im so sorry girl . I really hope he gets better . My daughter couldn't get a decent amount of sleep either and mommy just wasn't having it so I had to do what I had to do .

I hear you! I'm taking control too. Cause I can't stand him like this makes me feel so bad. His little baby intestines are bursting and his doctor is like him prune juice... Well if rather give him something that will work almost immediately and not over 5 days where it just adds on @cambrialatrece97,

Did you do the qtip or rectal thermometer thing yet? Always worked great for mine at that age

My grandma said something about rectal stimulation the pediatrician she use to work for said to do it but I tried like rubbing it down there and still nothing...@bianca_rose,

You have to put Vaseline on a q tip or thermometer and put it in, just the tip, hold it there for like 10 seconds, then move it in and out and hold again.

I gave him suppository and he went immediately after
