I know what you mean though. There's certain things that I feel I have to do or avoid because I'm paranoid about safety. But then there's other things I'm more old fashioned & think 'Meh he has to learn'. When Morgan falls he gets more of a reaction from other parents there than me lol. Obviously I check he's OK but I don't go overboard. Now when he falls he gets up brushes himself of & says 'I'm ok'. Instead of freaking out & crying lol.

You can get ones for all the sides. I got a 2 sided one as Morgan's cot only had the slates on the 2 sides 😊

Awwww I have a picture so similar except Harry had a huuuuge mop of black hair! Next time I go on my laptop I'll get it off my external hard drive and upload it. I love it when they poke their tongue out. He's so bloody cute xx

Whaaaaat?! Baby will never be allowed to crawl then! That's mad, let babies be babies! They're gonna hurt themselves, just like we did falling over, getting bruises and cuts! That was half the fun of growing up, you learn through your mistakes don't you. I'm still bloody learning now but I've bought Harry up the way I wanted to, not by a book and he's the most clever, happy and kind little boy you could dream of. Apart from when he's being a shit 😈🙃😂 xx

I know my step sister does everything by the book with her 10 month old daughter she used to make us sanitise our hands before picking her up with hand gel then she slags me off for how Jenson's brought up yet he's happier and more content baby her daughter cries 24/7 cos she's always so paranoid and never left to be a baby and explore @charlotteandharry

Exactly. My nan bought up her children 50 years ago and I'll bring my child up the way she did, not worrying about every single thing. It makes you so paranoid and you'll never be able to enjoy your child. My nan told her health visitor to fuck off back in the day and I pretty much told mine to as well when she came round telling me I shouldn't be doing this and that... well guess what love he's MY son and I'll bring him up whichever way I please. I'd never bring any harm to my child intentionally but parenting is trial and error and if you live by every guideline and every word a midwife and HV tells you, your child and you would have a very boring life! They have to stick the odds out there... i'm ironing right now and could drop the iron on my foot, burn the hell out of it and break it or I could trip into the ironing board, it could flip up into he air and knock me out by smacking me on the head but you know, gotta be done 😂

I know @charlotteandharry it's pathetic honestly they make it out like everything could kill your child which scares the shit out of you then to be honest most kids are fine. I understand some babies have hurt themselves or even died but that is a very small number in millions across the world. next year they will come up with a new scare hazards to scare mums. years ago people were doing these things and guess what those babies are you and me now and we're alive and kicking!!!

I used a breathable mesh cot bumper which was velcro so no fastenings.
