Today 9 years ago I under went my first big surgery to reconstruct my right side of my face! I never thought something that impacted life so drastically and hurt me so much would help me today with my son. My son is still a baby and won't remember his first Christmas, which is why I didn't get him anything. As of next year he will, nothing to big but i want to start a tradition with him of giving back. Being hospitalized at the age of 13 in the pediatrics floor at UCLA has hit me even harder now as a mother. The boy whom I shared my hospital room with was the most happiest boy I probably had ever met! The little boy had all his organs out and was basically put in a bubble. 😓 Since it was almost Christmas I remember we went down to a Christmas party they had for us but he couldn't so I stuck it through with all the pain I had to get him a toy because I knew he wouldn't be getting one. I still remember that big smile that little boy gave me & wishing he could hug me. I want to give to those in need & want to teach my son no to look down at someone for how they look or how rich or poor they are. I can't wait to start this with him! ❤️
