Look online for the jail in the county he was arrested in. They'll need his name, arrest date and charges.
I'm sorry your loving in fear. It's scary for sure. You always have the right to protect yourself and your children. Don't let anybody bring harm to you and your babies mama. I commend you for reaching out. Your not alone.
I don't know the laws in your state but my sis in law went they am ugly divorce. Her ex hubby took the kids from NV to FL and the judge said he can take them for 2 weeks. Then they had to be taken back to their residence for school and Drs.
Just don't get discouraged. Keep on pushing for answers. They're are many options for domestic violence victims.

How do I check online? I keep panicking when someone knocks at the door.
And I might just have to. I'm also trying to go on a trip to Mexico bc she's close enough for me to not have to buy a plane ticket. But I don't want to get in trouble for leaving. And I'm trying to talk to them but there's only voicemail and email. So in person I will try tonight.
I will give the women's shelter a call also.
Thank you so much @brownsugarluv,

You can check online if he bailed out.
I would call a local woman's shelter and ask for resources. Tell them it's domestic abuse and they will lead you the right way.
I can't believe they haven't responded to you! That is so unprofessional. Can you make your way down to the police station? Face to face is always best. You have a case # from the incident so have them pull that up to get the restraining order.

I'm on WIC. My next appointment isn't for 3 months, we don't live together but he was helping me pay rent at my aunts apartment bc I'm unemployed. (So he broke into my aunts place). We aren't on any bills together. I asked the cop for an emergency restraining order and I called today and they said nothing was on file about a restraining order. So that pist me off. And now they won't even answer questions they just said to leave a voicemail to the damn officer. I left a voicemail at 8am and I emailed another one. @brownsugarluv,

If your on state assistance you can talk to your case worker for local resources. Sounds like he's a real gem! It won't be hard to prove he's unfit with what just went down. Are you both on the lease? Do you share anything with both your names (home, car etc)? I'm sure he'll try and take every and anything he can. Make sure you secure all your assets. Once you file for custody he will know and most likely get mad. Which is why you need to enforce the restraining order. Call the cops ASAP when you see him.
If you can afford a lawyer that would be my first stop.
File for a restraining order and file for custody asap.

^ and I don't want to keep them from him but I don't want to leave them alone with him at all. He's threatened to take them from me before. He was arrested last night for what he did. There are multiple charges against him and well especially because of last night because of how far he went I don't trust him with my children so I want to have sole custody of my children. So do I go to the family court here? Or do I get a lawyer? I mean how does that work? @brownsugarluv

No we aren't married. He broke into my apartment when 2 of my friends were there. He fought my guy best friend with a crow bar, my girl best friend (also happens to be my guy best friends girlfriend) also was there and she took care of the kids upstairs. While me and my guy best friend held my ex down til the cops got there. So I have a reason. I just want to understand what the process would be, what it looks like, what to expect, etc. @amorrione,

You must file for custody with the family court. You'll have to prove the other parent is unfit and/or uncapable of caring for the kid(s). If the other parent puts up a fight it can get ugly. If you can both agree on a schedule and finances it will be much smoother.
If you think the other parent might get violent file for a restraining order. The piece of paper won't protect you but leaving a paper trail will help your case.
At the end of the day it should be about the kids living a happy life. Please don't keep a willing parent from their child(ren).
I wish you the best hun! If you need someone to talk to I'm here. 💓 Good luck!

Are you married? If so I think custody is part of divorce proceedings. If not, I'm not sure but if you don't want him around them I think you have to file a restraining order for now and talk to a lawyer about making it permanent. You'll have to prove that he's unfit as a dad tho, you can't do it out of spite.
