So my 8 in half month old has been coughing for a little over 2 months. Have taken her 2 the doctors they have given her Zyrtec and told me to give her the zarbees cough medicine but none of it is working. She will get to coughing to the point it's hard for her to breath sometimes. I am wondering should I get a second opinion or is it something I should just ride out.

That's what I was thinking like she would seem to get better and maybe not cough for a day then go right back to coughing the next day. Thank you

I was always told cough medicine at first makes it worse but it helps to get them over it quicker. my daughter had the upper respiratory infection twice last winter. an er doctor said the medicine will make it seem worse but don't worry that's part of the process. and sure enough within two weeks of medicine regularly she was all bettet
