If I'm weaning Kingston from nursing, does he still need more than one bottle throughout the night each time he wakes up? So far he has been going to bed around 9:30pm, waking up at almost 1am( I let him finish a bottle he previously had which is usually about 2-3 ounces) he then goes to bed, then moves around and makes noises around 4am but today, by the time I had a bottle ready he ended up falling asleep on his own so I just covered him up with his crib blanket. In the mornings, he's usually fed a milk and oatmeal bottle right away as we are getting dressed. Any suggestions or input is appreciated??

I would def start weaning him off bottles at night as well. he shouldn't need one at all at night effectually especially at 8 months :)

As far as the before bed feeding or the 1 am feeding? before bed he eats a heavy dinner which is organic mashed potatoes (not the boxed potatoes) and half a jar of baby food. Then afterwards he has a milk bottle with oatmeal. At 1 am, I get up to feed him, rock him and he goes to sleep but he still wakes up at least twice or more a night. He's been like this for a long time. He would sleep through the night every now and then. @mdomke22,

I would stop the 1am for sure. and maybe start a lighter meal towards bed as well. maybe just a regular bo.ttle without oatmeal before bed. sometimes when babies are too full it can keep them up or make them uncomfortable. is he underweight? is that why he gets a heavier meal before bed?

No, He's not underweight. I've just been doing it that way because he'd show signs which I thought were hunger and people were telling me he's probably not sleeping all night because he's hungry...thanks for your feedback
