My son has had some kind of stomach bug, and has had diarrhea for the past 2 days including a cold. Today he's had softer stool but it's been more thick. He has been refusing his bottle today and has peed only once all day. I'm obviously scared of dehydration. Has anyone ever experienced this?

take him to the dr and get him some fluids

If he's only peed once then he's already dehydrated. Combine that with not drinking and it's a recipe for kidney damage. I agree with @starliightt, he needs to go to the doctor for fluids.

@starliightt @amorrione I took hi yesterday to the doctor and he was still peeing and eating normally. The doctor said he seemed healthy and that a virus was probably to blame. I have tried giving him pedialyte and he hates it. He's been drinking sips of water and a bottle here and there. I've been having him on a BRAT diet. The doctor just told me to continue to have him on that.

If you call the office they'll usually have a triage nurse you can talk to that might have some more suggestions for you. It's just that not peeing is a red flag.

@amorrione I called and they told me to look up the symptoms on google. I'm changing physicians this January. He's peed. But not as much. Maybe only 3 times all day. He's been refusing bottles all day until right now that it's his bedtime. He has his 2 top teeth coming in, and had a stomach bug with a cold. I think he might now be dehydrated. Maybe he just hasn't been as hungry because of everything.

Google... 😳 it's a good thing you're switching. Keep an eye out for other signs of dehydration... darkening urine, dry mouth or eyes, sunken eyes or fontanelles, dry skin
