DON'T JUDGE AND BE RUDE;
DON'T JUDGE AND BE RUDE;
Did it take moms a long time to connect to their baby? I'm only close to 5 months but I have no connection. No anything. I feel terrible about it and like it's wrong. It's almost like I could care less about it which isn't right.
Is there something wrong with me ?

There is nothing wrong with you! When you meet your baby, you will feel it! It might not seem real yet and that could be why you are feeling this way. Don't be too hard on yourself.

I felt the same way honestly, but once my son was born I fell in love with him

I didn't feel "connected" until she was born. I mean, I was excited I was having her but I didn't know what to expect? It's kind of hard to explain. But let me tell you, it was like an instant in-love feeling when I first saw and held her. The tears would not stop flowing and I didn't think that was going to happen because I'm not usually a crier.
Nothing's wrong with you :)

there is nothing wrong with you. i have felt that way about both of my pregnancies, and to be honest not every mother gets that "instant in love" feeling when they first see their baby. its not talked about very often but I had no connection to my daughter until she was about 6 months old. through caring for her and taking care of her I grew to love her. it was really hard. my husband didn't have a connection to her either and it didn't help when he left for basic training when she was 3 months old. after talking to my step mom and my husbands mother i found out that they went through the same thing. they didn't feel anything about the baby when they were first born. and even during their pregnancies. it's a big change and adjustment especially if you are a first time mom. I hope this isn't the case for you but it does happen. if you want to talk more you can pm me :)

I understand that... I'm pregnant with my second now and I know it's in there, and I'm excited to add another little person to our family... but with my first I did not feel that connection, I had a really rough pregnancy, once she was born things were different, but I did not enjoy being pregnant with her... so I'm hoping this pregnancy will be different... but I'm really not looking forward to the next 32ish weeks... I enjoy the end result, just not a fan of being pregnant... if any of that makes sense

Yes! Do not feel bad it is totally normal Im nine months and I'm just currently getting a connection now. It's extremely difficult and this was a planned pregnancy for me and is my first child. It will eventually come. It also helps if u talk about it rather it's with a counselor or us moms on here, this is why I created the app it helped me so much through this pregnancy letting me know I'm not alone on my feelings ...u will get better
