Breastfeeding Question! I tried with my first and was extremely unsuccessful. I had to use a nipple shield which was a nightmare and ended up with an infection in my uterus which had me hospitalized for 4 days before she was even a week old. It was such a struggle with her. I switched to formula, left it alone and I am A ok with my choice! My question is - this time I just want to pump! It's my personal preference and I'm 100% comfortable with it. However - is this something the hospital will be used to hearing ? Or I am crazy abnormal ? Just curious! Thanks ladies!

my first son I didn't breastfeed. My 2 week old is the nicu now and I decide to breastfeed but he was having issues with feedings and is on spit up formula to help reflux so I decided to just pump. A lot of mom's pump exclusively and they still consider it breastfeeding because baby is getting your breast milk not formula.
