Formula feeders! How long do you leave a untouched bottle out at room temp ?

I was told no longer than two hours

I usually do an hour hour and a half tops though but I have heard it's okay for two hours @gigi.marquez1991,

when I got my breast pump it came with a booklet telling me about how long I can keep bottles out and it said for room temp I can leave it out for 4 - 6 hours ! if your baby has drank out of it then its only good for 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 mins max

Yep. No longer than 2 hours. 1 hour once baby starts to feed. 24 hours in the fridge/cooler 👍🏼

@madismommy, that's true for breastmilk. Unfortunately it's not true for formula for some reason. Probably because it doesn't have the same bacteria fighting enzymes in it as there are in breastmilk. So formula at room temp before baby starts to feed can be left out a max of 2 hours. 😣

@madismommy, oh girl you're good! Lol. I both pumped and then had to switch to formula because my LO ate so much and I couldn't keep up. So I had to learn the differences quickly. I just didn't want her to leave a formula bottle out for 4-6 hours. 😱

No unfortunately I have high BP now so with my medication I couldn't @madismommy,
