Okay please don't judge me as we are not perfect at all. My one year old managed to get a hold of a quarter and actually tried swallowing it. I couldn't get it out of his mouth for what seemed like a forever. I finally ended up performing the infant first aid for chocking. I finally got it out. We cried holding each other for a long time. I've taken the infant chocking and CPR classes every time and I never thought I'd have to use them. Especially not on my child. I can't stress to you guys how important it is to know those procedures. I thought I was losing him for a minute. I didn't know whether to pick up a phone and dial 911 or attend to him. I'm still shaken up and feel awful. He is smiling and happy back to his old self. That could've been the last time I saw my sons smile. I could've lost him because either my fiance or I were careless and left one quarter on the floor. I thank god he's still here. Please mommas consider taking those classes you never know when it could be your child the one who needs it.
